New York City residents have absolutely no tolerance for balcony serenades
As our days of self-quarantining continue, people are looking for ways to still connect with others in real life.
Italy has come up with a creative way by having people sing together on their balconies. The footage — shared by thousands on Twitter — restores a little bit of faith in humanity and provides a silver lining of hope for when this is all over.

New York City residents, on the other hand, have absolutely no interest in following Italy’s lead. Trevor Noah made that clear when he posted a video on Twitter of him singing “A Whole New World” from “Aladdin.”

“I’ve been inspired by Italy and I figure, like, why don’t we do this in New York?” Noah asks in the clip. “We’re also neighbors out here. Let’s be together!”
After only a few seconds of the song, someone can be heard in the background screaming, “Shut the f*** up!” Well, Noah tried.
The scene is very reminiscent of the iconic bit in “Coming to America” with Eddie Murphy.
