Eliminating single-use plastic is just one of the many steps we can take towards bettering our planet. From fashion to the food industry, brands are stepping up and putting forth efforts in recycling and reducing plastic waste. But what about our cleaning supplies?

Blueland, a sustainable household product brand, wants to end your monthly trips to the supermarket for Windex and Mr. Clean by replacing them with just a tiny nickel-sized tablet. The mission is to eliminate the need for over 100 billion single-use plastic bottles and re-imagining consumer packaged goods.

So how exactly does it work? After purchasing ‘The Clean Essentials’ for $39.99, you’ll receive four specially-designed reusable bottles labeled for their different uses: Multi-surface (fresh lemon scent), glass and mirror (unscented), bathroom cleaner (eucalyptus mint scent) and the foaming hand soap (iris agave scent). Once you fill the bottles with water, drop the proper tablet into the mix and you’re set! Never buy or toss another plastic bottle again and only pay $2.00 for refills for life!

After appearing on “Shark Tank,” the eco-friendly brand caught the attention of Kim Kardashian, who ordered the products after seeing the segment right away.

“Our efforts don’t stop with cleaning products – we’re on a mission to reimagine all packaged goods. When people hear eco-friendly, they assume the products will be less effective, more work and more money. We’re flipping this on its head with cutting-edge formulas, biodegradable packaging, and thoughtfully designed products. Now the better choice is the easy choice,” the brand explains in a statement.

If you’re worried about the effectiveness of Blueland’s actual cleaning products in comparison to leading brands, don’t fret: Judging by the customer reviews, the tablet-based formulas appear to work just as well across surfaces.

One customer wrote, “My starter kit arrived quickly (all in a totally recyclable cardboard box!) and I was very excited to drop in the tablets, watch them fizz, and get cleaning. Loving the cleaning products. Glass cleaner works great – streak free windows and mirrors. Hand soap has a pleasant light fragrance. Multi-surface cleaner works great on my counter tops.”

Another simple said, “Best thing I’ve done to begin the new year!”
