This Instagrammer’s foil art is way too satisfying to watch

If you thought foil was just for wrapping up leftovers, you’re in for a big surprise.

That’s because “foil art,” the totally mesmerizing technique championed by Instagrammer Jessica Cooper, is taking the internet by storm.

Cooper, who shares her designs under the username “cooper caligraphy,” has gained more than 370,000 followers thanks to her fascinating way of making art.

She starts by sketching her designs through high-tech methods — usually on her iPad — then prints them with a laser printer. After that, she applies a special type of foil and runs the art through a laminator, according to a how-to blog post on her website.

Finally, she lifts the foil to reveal her sketches, which have transformed into a colorful, one-of-a-kind print.
