Grandma finally gets quinceañera of her dreams: 'What a beautiful and unforgettable night'

An Argentine grandmother finally had her quinceañera, thanks to her daughter and loved ones, Hola! reports.

The 79-year-old woman from Plata, identified only as "Nina," celebrated her 15th birthday on Jan. 11 — two days after her actual birthday and 64 years following what was supposed to be the official year she transitioned from girlhood to womanhood (a mark of passage that quinceañeras honor).

Nina’s daughter, Yolanda Luna, took to Facebook to share a video and photos of the special event, where the grandmother wore a tiara, strapless silver bodice and pink tulle skirt.

"What a beautiful and unforgettable night," Luna wrote. "I will always carry that beautiful moment in my heart…at 79 [she] was able to fulfill her dream of having her parties of 15 years…love you mom."

According to media company Mitú, Nina did not receive the quinceañera of her dreams when she turned 15 because her family had been experiencing financial struggles at the time. The grandmother, however, did not seem to dwell on it as Luna’s footage shows the 79-year-old happily embracing her loved ones as Mariah Carey’s "Hero" plays in the background.

Facebook users who came across Luna’s photos were equally thrilled for Nina.

"Many blessings," one person quipped in Spanish.

"Congratulations on this beautiful quinceañera," another wrote. "Nice gesture on your part."
