Nordstrom now has a resale section — get designer clothing for half of its original price

If you have designer taste on a Zara budget, you might want to check this out. Nordstrom recently announced its newest retail category, a high end resale section for women, men and kids called See You Tomorrow.

See You Tomorrow is a selection of previously owned clothing, shoes and accessories that are mostly, if not all, designer or high end brands. Think: Paige, Ganni, Rag & Bone, Vince, Veronica Beard, Alice & Olivia and Stuart Weitzman to name a few.

According to Nordstrom, the section is “highly coveted, expertly curated and continually changing.”

“No longer is the life of clothing a straight line from new to old: now it’s a continuous circle,” the site says.

This means that you can find high end pieces at a fraction of their original price tags. In its FAQ section, Nordstrom writes that it works with brand partners and a third-party firm to authenticate the shop’s designer items. Items must also be in excellent condition to be considered for resale.

See You Tomorrow is available to shop exclusively online and at Nordstrom’s NYC location.

On the other hand, if you recently cleaned out your closet and have some designer digs to sell, there are a few things you should know. Nordstrom is currently only buying items at the See You Tomorrow shop in NYC, where potential sellers can make an appointment with a buyer. If any items are chosen, Nordstrom offers 55 to 60 percent of the resale value (which is significantly higher than most resale stores) in the form of a gift card redeemable at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, HauteLook and Trunk Club. Anything that’s not chosen is given back or donated at the choice of the seller.

You can check out the list of approved brands its currently accepting for resale and learn more on the See You Tomorrow website.
