Meghan Markle look-alike goes viral for her incredible resemblance to the duchess

What began as an Instagram account of her children soon catapulted Akeisha Land to internet stardom.

The 39-year-old initially used the social media site to share photos of her two children, Greyson and Tristian -- but Land's account soon went viral after followers began commenting on her uncanny resemblance to Meghan Markle.

Her most recent post with daughter Greyson has garnered 14,000 likes and hundreds of comments since it was posted two days ago, with most of the comments relating to the royal resemblance.

"Even i had to sit here and say to myself .... ain’t that Meghan?” one commenter shared. "What a beautiful child you have, and you and Megan Markle are twins! 😍" said another.

Land recently opened up about the likeness to The Daily Mail, revealing that she receives comments on the resemblance in public as well as on social media.

"I get compared to her quite often, and not just online. Out and about, whether at church, movie theater, or at the grocery store," she told the publication.

"I'll have random people coming up and saying 'has anyone ever told you that you look like...,'" she continued. "I always giggle before they even finish saying who because I know exactly who they're going to say because I've heard it so much; especially recently since I've been wearing my hair straight."

Land doesn't necessarily notice the resemblance herself, but she's flattered by the likeness and jokes that she's happy to step in for the royal at future engagements, especially given the news earlier this month.

"Even my close friends and family say I look like her! And even though I myself don't see the similarities, I definitely take it as a huge compliment as she's just drop-dead gorgeous," she continued.

"I always joke and say I need to have someone reach out to her people to let them know I'm always up for filling in for her as her doppelgänger if she doesn't want to go to any of the events she's invited to."
