It's 2020 and Jeff Bezos is an accidental fashion influencer.

The Amazon founder's beachside uniform went totally viral this past summer after he sported the same swim trunks by French label Vilebrequin on multiple occasions. The knee-length swim shorts that feature a multitude of purple octopuses are from the brand's spring/summer 2014 collection.

After Vilebrequin saw a 105 percent rise in page views and the shorts were searched over 4,000 times in 3 months on Lyst, the luxe swim line recently relaunched the octopus-printed trunks due to high demand. The shorts also took 9th place in the world's most buzziest men's fashion products of 2019. A $1,410 Moncler quilted puffer came in first.

The shorts now come in two silhouettes: The longer length, as seen on Bezos, and the shorter classic cut, which is definitely the more chic of the two. And while the billionaire can more than afford to splurge $260 on a bathing-suit (hey, cost-per-wear is a real thing), the reviews from customers are surprisingly really positive.

With a 4.4 star rating, one customer wrote, "I bought these shorts to accompany my other pair I got 5 years ago. They are still going strong. Style is a given with this brand but so is the quality and longevity of the products. My shorts get a hard time with sun, salt and chlorine but they are incredibly resilient."

Another said, "These are the highest quality swim trunks you can find. So comfortable and dry quickly after a swim...highly recommend!"

Say it with me: Hot squid summer.
