Whether you travel every other week for work, are preparing for a road trip upstate for the summer or are moving your kids out of their college dorm rooms, there's nothing worth the investment like a good piece of luggage.

We've learned the hard way to take our luggage seriously: we've had wheels fall off and zippers snag, fabric rip and handles snap. There's nothing worse than breaking your back in a crowded airport and schlepping to your gate only to realize half of your clothes have fallen out along the way, like a scene out of "Hansel and Gretel."

In preparation for summer travel, we've searched high and low for a long-lasting and sturdy luggage set --- and it seems we've found a winner that will last for years to come, all thanks to Amazon

The beloved online retailer's best-selling luggage set, the Coolife Luggage Set, comes in a set of three for $139. And although this price may seem steep to some, over 900 reviewers promise that due to its hard shell and lightweight build, it's worth the purchase.

"Very pleased with maneuvering and durability of wheels on various rough surfaces. The retractable handle makes for easy storage on ferries and railway. We’ve had zero issues with locking mechanism," wrote one reviewer.

"This luggage is awesome. The suitcases are lightweight and roll with ease. I loved the zippered section nothing fell out. The wheels roll well especially in the busy airport. Outsides are very durable," said another. Plus, families can upgrade their sets for another piece of luggage.

The set not only includes protective locks for your belongings, but also comes in a variety of colors since it never hurts to travel in style. Happy packing!
