If you have yet to get hit by a snow storm this year, there's nothing like being prepared with a good pair of snow boots. Winter officially kicks off on Dec. 21, and according to the 2020 Farmer's Almanac, this season will be a cold and snowy one.

The "Farmer's Almanac," which predicts weather for seven U.S. zones up to 16 months in advance, reported back in August that the worst conditions will hit during the last week of January through the beginning of February. “Our extended forecast is calling for yet another freezing, frigid, and frosty winter for two-thirds of the country,” Editor Peter Geiger wrote on its website.

With that in mind, whether you consider yourself a snow bunny or plan to only leave your house for errands, a solid pair of snow boots will definitely come in handy.

The most searched for item in the category was in fact, the Columbia Ice Maiden II boots (show below). However, all of the boots are popular for what similar reasons: the ability to keep feet warm and dry, and for having great traction to prevent the wearer from slipping and falling.
