Insider: This will probably be baby Archie's first word

Baby Archie is growing up right before our eyes!

The littlest royal turns six months old on Wednesday -- and according to one royal insider, life at Frogmore Cottage is pretty great. Of course, Archie has already hit plenty of milestones since we saw him last month during the royal tour of Africa!

“He’s a strong baby and you can tell he’s super smart,” a source revealed to Us Weekly. “He can sit up without support and roll over, and he’s almost crawling. He can’t talk yet, but he’s trying!”

While Archie is a "happy baby" and "rarely cries," he's particularly attached to Prince Harry.

"When Harry walks into the room, Archie gets so excited, he puts his arms out — his way of saying, ‘Pick me up!’" said the insider, adding that "there's a good chance" his first word will be "Dada."

"You can tell Archie’s going to be a social butterfly. He’s at his happiest when he’s around people," they continued. “He takes a keen interest in his surroundings and is already engaging and interacting with people. He loves to be entertained. And he isn’t a needy baby — he’ll happily go to Harry and Meghan’s friends without kicking up a fuss.”

Baby Archie made his first official debut as a royal during the couple's 10-day tour of Africa, where he "found his voice" and was making more noise than ever before, according to his proud parents.

“He clearly loves Africa as well because he’s been happy looking out the window,” Harry revealed during ITV’s new documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, which premiered in October. “He found his voice here. He was bouncing up and down and making more noise than he’s ever made before.”

Next up for Archie, Harry and Meghan is a six-week visit to the United States, where the family will reportedly celebrate Thanksgiving with Meghan's mom, Doria Ragland, in Los Angeles.

“The duke and duchess have a full schedule of engagements and commitments until mid-November, after which they will be taking some much-needed family time,” it was reported on Oct. 20 to The Sunday Times. The announcement comes after months of increased public scrutiny and media attention, which has caused a strain on the newlywed couple.

“Look, any woman, especially when they are pregnant, you’re really vulnerable and so that was made really challenging,” she explained. “And then when you have a newborn ― you know … especially as a woman, it’s a lot. So you add this [media attention] on top of just trying to be a new mum or trying to be a newlywed it’s, well…” the duchess revealed in the documentary.
