This is the most popular wedding date of the year

While it's true that the spring time sees an influx of weddings, there is one fall date that sees more weddings than any other day of the year.

If you're getting married on Oct. 19, 2019, you and over 33,800 other couples have that in common.

In a new survey from The Knot and WeddingWire, experts have revealed that the couples getting married on the third Saturday of this October are hosting 4.3 million guests at weddings put on by more than 474,000 wedding pros (think photographers, caterers and florists).

In a press release, Jeffra Trumpower, the Senior Creative Director at WeddingWire, shared, “As fall weddings continue to grow in popularity, we’re seeing more and more couples opt for those September and October wedding dates."

Trumpower continued, “It’s no surprise to us that 2019’s most popular wedding day of the year falls in mid- October. On October 19, we expect to see couples incorporating bold, vibrant and festive colors into their décor coupled with hearty comfort food dishes; seasonal cocktails like spiked warm apple cider; and lots of texture like pampas grass, greenery and velvet.”

While all of these weddings are sure to rack up a hefty bill, guests are also spending a good chunk of change of these weddings. Almost half of wedding guests "purchased a new outfit for the most recent wedding they attended and
spent, on average, $155."
