Zoo Babies: Meet this rare musk fawn who lives at the Akron Zoo

Welcome to AOL Lifestyle's Zoo Babies, which profiles the newest and most adorable additions to zoos across America. From a baby sloth named Wookiee to a rambunctious baby tiger named Carlie, these zoo babies will fulfill your daily dose of cuteness.

Meet one of Akron's Zoo's rarest animals: Bucky, a 2-month-old Siberian musk deer whose birth marks the second born at the Ohio establishment.

Bucky's birth is incredibly vital for the musk deer population, which is deemed "vulnerable" by wildlife experts: It's estimated that 320,000 are left in the wild due to poaching for the animals' musk glands.

"A lot of people when they approach the habitat will actually think they're kangaroos at first," explained Lauren Starkey, lead keeper of Hoofstock at the Akron Zoo.

Although he won't grow fangs until he's about a year old, with a face of a kangaroo and fangs like a vampire, Bucky belongs to one of the most fascinating and adorable animals out there.
