Limited-edition Pumpkin Spice Spam sells out in less than 7 hours

Pumpkin Spice Spam is the fall treat you didn't know you needed, nor probably wanted in your life, although some people couldn't get their hands on it fast enough. The new fall-inspired Spam went on sale on Monday, Sept. 23 and sold out in mere hours.

When Spam announced the news in August that they were launching the limited-edition fall-inspired Spam, plenty thought it was a joke. Alas, it was not, and there was apparently a real market for it.

The limited-edition Spam mixed its signature canned pork product with cinnamon, cloves, allspice and nutmeg, which the brand recommended pairing with waffles and on breakfast sandwiches. However, Pumpkin Spice Spam went on sale on Monday, exclusively online on Spam and Walmart's websites, in two-packs for $8.98, and according to the brand, was gone in less than seven hours.

Spam assured its fans that the brand has 15 other varieties of Spam, like bacon, turkey, jalapeño, cheese and chorizo, but has not announced any plans to bring back the pumpkin spice flavor anytime soon.
