Dakota Johnson's complete style transformation: From spaghetti strap tops to sparkly gowns

There's one word to describe Dakota Johnson's style -- sexy.

The daughter of actress Melanie Griffith isn't afraid to get risqué on the big screen -- made obvious by her starring role in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie franchise -- and she's brought some of that sexiness to her red carpet fashion.

Dakota, 28, has clearly come a long way since she first appeared on the red carpet as a little girl for the premiere of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" alongside her father Don Johnson.

Early in her Hollywood career, the actress kept it conservative with her looks, opting for more covered up ensembles in neutral hues of black, nude and white. It wasn't really till Dakota landed her role as Anastasia Steele in the "Fifty Shades" franchise where she really made a drastic change to her style.

For the 2015 Golden Globes, Dakota truly sparkled in a Chanel gown that hugged her flawless figure. At the 2015 Met Gala, she stunned in another Chanel number -- a strapless frock that showed off her enviable, mile-long legs.

Recently, she hit the red carpet in a gorgeous pink Prada dress for the Venice Film Festival -- and we have to say, it's one of her most gorgeous to-date.
