Will Meghan Markle bring back 'The Tig?'

Will Meghan Markle be readding "editor-in-chief" to her resume as a royal?

Royal fans have been calling for 'The Tig' relaunch after it was reported that the duchess' business manager Andrew Meyer had filed to keep the rights to the blog's name until at least 2021. A website titled 'Tigtots' was also trademarked, prompting speculation of a possible motherhood blog.

"It’s fascinating Meghan’s business manager has ensured she keeps The Tig for a few more years at least," said a source to The Sun, who first reported the news. "Of course it’s understandable she wouldn’t want an entrepreneur using the name without her involvement."

The lifestyle blog, which was started by Markle in 2014, was quietly shuttered in 2017 after she began dating Prince Harry.

However, a palace spokesperson issued a statement to People in response to the rumors: Unfortunately for royal fans, it seems that the Duchess of Sussex has "absolutely no plans to relaunch" the site.

“The lasting trademark is to prevent false branding, to avoid others purporting to be the Duchess or affiliated with her,” the spokesperson said.
