Baby girl stuns with birth weight, date, time: 'Everybody was saying we should go play the lottery'
A baby girl born in a Tennessee hospital left her parents and doctors at a loss for words when she came into the world at 9:11 p.m. on 9/11 — weighing exactly 9 pounds and 11 ounces.
Parents Cametrione and Justin Brown welcomed their daughter, Christina, at Methodist Le Bonheur Hospital in Germantown, Tenn., via C-section on Wednesday, they told WREG.
The new father said he and his wife entered the operating room around 8:55 p.m. that night, having no idea the major surprise that was about to come their way.
"Time was just rolling," Brown told the station. "Then all of a sudden, we heard the 'wah!' and next thing you know, they called it 9:11 and then they got on the table and they were like, 'Oh my gosh! She weighs 9/11!'"
"The doctor was excited," he continued. "She's like, 'Oh my God, this is a 9/11, 9/11, 9/11 baby!'"

Christina's mother says her daughter's birth — which came on a nationwide day of mourning, as Americans remembered those lost in the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks — offered her family a glimmer of hope and peace.
"She comes in on 9/11," she told the Memphis Commercial Appeal. "There was so much devastation, but she's bringing all this joy and life into the world because everybody’s been waiting on her."
The newborn also apparently left those who witnessed the special circumstances of her birth feeling a little lucky, according to the baby's father.
"Everybody was saying we should go play the lottery," he joked.
Just this summer, another baby girl made headlines when she was born at 7:11 pm on 7/11, weighing 7 pounds and 11 ounces.
Mother Rachel Langford received widespread media coverage after the birth of her lucky baby girl, J'Amie, but said she was still "completely shocked" when a 7-Eleven representative called her up to celebrate the good news by pledging $7,111 to the newborn's college fund.
"It's hard for anybody to even get a trust fund for their children," Langford told CNN. "To get a blessing like that, it just helps a lot."
