Wendy's new breakfast menu will feature a Frosty mixed with cold brew

If you've ever craved a Wendy's Frosty in the morning, you're in luck. The fast food chain recently announced that it plans to roll out breakfast to all 6,000 or so of its U.S. locations in 2020, and they're introducing three breakfast menu items.

"The menu features signature items that takes the best of Wendy's, from Applewood smoked bacon to the Frosty, and creatively delivers them to fans for breakfast," the chain told Food & Wine.

The new signature breakfast items will include a Breakfast Baconator, Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit and a Frosty-ccino.

The Frosty-ccino will be a less like a cappuccino, as it's implied, and more like a Frosty mixed with cold brew. It sounds a little like a Frappuccino or a frozen coffee, but either way, it also sounds absolutely delicious.

The Breakfast Baconator is a lot like the original menu item with cheese and bacon, but swaps in a sausage patty for a beef patty and adds eggs. The Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit is basically a chicken sandwich, but made more morning time appropriate with a honey butter biscuit as the bun.

Although competitors like McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell and Chick-fil-A already offer breakfast options, Wendy's currently offers breakfast in only 300 U.S. locations. The expansion will require a nearly $20 million investment and include hiring roughly 20,000 more employees.
