Tommy Hilfiger and Zendaya recreate 1970's Harlem for NYFW

Updated

Tommy Hilfiger and Zendaya took over Harlem's iconic Apollo Theater on Sunday night to help showcase their new 1970's-inspired collaboration at New York Fashion Week.

It's the "Euphoria" actress' second collaboration with the famed designer since she became one of the brand's faces last fall -- and combined with the movie-set backdrop, nostalgia-stirring designs and live band, the new line made for one of the most memorable NYFW shows thus far.

Sunglass-wearing models danced down the runway dressed in flared pants, checkered coats, polka dot blouses and knee-high boots, which is already available for purchase. Embracing models from a variety of backgrounds and body types was a priority for Zendaya, who relied on pregnant Ashley Graham, Halima Aden and Winnie Harlow, amongst other notable names, to lead the pack.

"I think it was important that I think every woman in my family felt like they could wear my clothes, and that's who I made it for," the actress explained. "Size inclusivity was a huge point for me and also for it to be reflected on the runway, as well, so we have incredible, beautiful models that everyone is going to see. I just wanted everyone to be represented."
