NYFW: Tanya Taylor creates a neon jungle in NYC

Updated

On Sunday, at New York's Spring Studios, Tanya Taylor transported the guests at her fashion week presentation to a neon jungle. Surrounded by colorful palm fronds and multi-colored ferns, models showed off the designer's latest vacation-ready collection.

Full of sunset colors and bright blues and greens, Taylor's collection was peppered with micro-floral patterns and bold stripes. Standout pieces included a pink, orange and green floral suiting set and a green and pink textured dress with cap sleeves and completed with a belt.

"I’m constantly inspired by strong and creative women. This season, I was inspired by fashion pioneer Barbara Hulanicki. Earlier this summer our design team traveled to Miami to meet Barbara, a British vanguard who has lived in south beach for the last 30 years," exclusively told AOL about the collection.

"We learned that Barbara is the same fearless creator at eighty years old as she was at twenty years old. She has never stopped expressing herself through art and building a community around her creativity. We aim to dress women who are going places and doing things, women like Barbara."

Taylor also shared that "bold color, thoughtful designs and emotional prints," are fashion elements that will always be apart of her collections.
