NYFW: Kate Spade puts a romantic new spin on florals for Spring 2020

Florals are always an essential pattern for spring, but no one does it quite like Kate Spade.

The design house showcased its Spring 2020 collection at New York Fashion Week on Saturday morning at possibly the most on-brand location possible: NYC's romantic Elizabeth St. Garden. Editors, influencers and A-listers alike (Sadie Sink, Anna Kendrick, Emma Roberts and Katherine Schwarzenegger to name a few) took their seats in equally as fitting pastel pink garden chairs that layered the runway.

Creative director Nicola Glass continued the late designer's love of prints and pastels for the upcoming collection while also putting fresh spins on the brand's insignia with crochet dresses and multi-color totes. Most of Glass' inspiration seemed to stem straight from the '70s with puff blouses, oversized sunglasses and an almost psychedelic pairing of colors. And while florals are always intertwined with the brand's collections, and with the spring season, the new line offers a new take on the pattern with oversized geometric designs.
