Jeremy Scott kicks off NYFW in 'neon rock opera' inspired show

Leave it to Jeremy Scott to kick off New York Fashion Week with neon wigs, metallic leotards and thigh-high boots.

The celebrated designer, known for his vibrant and eccentric collections, showcased his Spring 2020 line at NYFW on Friday evening with supermodel Lily Aldridge leading the runway. Filled with bold geometric prints, animal pattern and other surreal-inspired aesthetics from the 1980s', Scott's new collection took us on a wild "neon rock opera" show.

“I was just creating an imaginary rock band that’s like intergalactic outer space; the coolest sci-fi band that you’ve ever seen live, ever,” the creative told The Hollywood Reporter backstage prior to the show. “I wanted to have fun.”
