Queen Elizabeth takes her grandmother duties very, very seriously.

An adorable clip of Queen Elizabeth chasing after then 4-year-old Prince William at Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's wedding in 1986 has quickly made the rounds on the internet.

The royal tot took on the role as page boy at his uncle's wedding over three decades ago, dressing in an adorable sailor's outfit as he walked down the aisle. Photos from the event show the future king yawning and messing around with his cousins Peter and Zara Phillips and Laura Fellowes, but making it through the long ceremony wasn't the only time William had trouble.

Following the ceremony, the bridal party took the steps of Westminister Abbey to see the newlyweds off. Prince William, however, got a little too excited and made a beeline for the moving carriage. Queen Elizabeth, then 60, sprinted after her grandson to stop him from getting too close.

The previously-unseen vintage clip was shared to Twitter last week, where it's since gone viral. Fans were quick to notice the rest of the royal family's hilarious responses to seeing Her Majesty on the run.

"Look at Princess Margaret in the blue running too. She knows if the queen is running it’s for real" commented one royal fan. "Do you see everyone run after her? She is the Queen. They may not know what she is doing but they're doing it too," said another.

Others were quick to call out how refreshing it is to see the queen in her role as grandmother.

Despite officially splitting six years after marriage, the Duke of York and Sarah Ferguson have remained close to co-raise their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. The couple still lives together at the royal lodge in Windsor.

"I'm a day late but I wanted to celebrate my parents getting married 33 years ago... Thank you for always being the best of friends and bringing us up together," wrote Princess Eugenie in honor of their anniversary last week. See more of their wedding below.
