Model Shanina Shaik says the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is canceled

There is some rumored bad news going around for fans of the Victoria's Secret brand and their annual fashion show that showcases sexy lingerie looks, famous models and of-the-moment musicians. According to long-time VS model Shanina Shaik, it's over.

During an interview with The Daily Telegraph on Tuesday, the 28-year-old stunner said, "Unfortunately the Victoria’s Secret show won’t be happening this year."

She continued: "It’s something I’m not used to because every year around this time I’m training like an Angel. But I’m sure in the future something will happen, which I’m pretty sure about. I’m sure they’re trying to work on branding and new ways to do the show because it’s the best show in the world."

As of late, the brand has been criticized in the media for not being truly body positive or size inclusive in the time of the #metoo movement.

Earlier this year, supermodel Karlie Kloss even expressed that she left the brand and its show behind because she "didn’t feel it was an image that was truly reflective of who I am and the kind of message I want to send to young women around the world about what it means to be beautiful."

Victoria's Secret has yet to confirm Shaik's statement. More to come.
