Take a closer look at Sarah Hyland's gorgeous 5-carat engagement ring

Wells Adams put a ring on it.

Last week, the "Bachelorette" alum became engaged to actress Sarah Hyland after nearly two years of dating. The "Modern Family" star, 28, and Adams, 35, shared the happy news of their engagement, which took place during the couple's beach vacation.

Complete with its picturesque backdrop and Hyland's surprised reaction, it's clear to see the couple is very much in love.

"That can't eat, can't sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff," Hyland captioned the photo of Wells proposing.

Luckily, fans of the couple didn't have to wait too long before sneaking a peek of the ring. Hyland even shared a closeup of the rock, aptly captioning the photo "Blinded by the ☀️ or the 💍?" on Instagram.

Blinding is definitely a good way to describe it: Wells, it seems, spared no expense with his choice in a ring. According to experts, the Lorraine Schwartz ring may have set the Nashville native back a cool $200,000.

"Sarah's ring looks like a beautiful white 5-carat Oval cut that is most likely F or G color and VS clarity," said CEO of WP Diamonds Andrew Brown to E! News. "On the simple thin band, from Lorraine Schwartz, this ring would probably run $175-$200,000."

The couple met back in August 2017 after a Twitter exchange during the airing of the Bachelor in Paradise season 4. They made their debut as a couple on Instagram the following Halloween, after dressing up as "Eleven" and "Mike Wheeler" from Stranger Things.
