Report: Meghan and Kate's joint polo outing was 'orchestrated' for the public

The royal rumor mill on a feuding Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton has been spinning for quite some time now, so it was quite surprising when the two stepped out for a joint outing on Wednesday. Kids in tow, the duchesses attended the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day event in Berkshire to cheer on their husbands during the fundraising match.

The event, which marked Meghan's first (and unofficial!) appearance with her newborn, was deemed "royal baby heaven" by reporters, who snapped some adorable shots of the Cambridge children and little Archie.

Royal fans were relieved to notice no particular tensions at the laidback event, but one royal biographer claims the outting was just another public relations opportunity on behalf of their teams.

“Kate Middleton was also there with her three kids - the two families putting on a united front despite rumours of a rift. When you look at those pictures you have to ask: what feud?” said Belinda Russell, host of Australia's Nine News to royal expert Duncan Larcombe.

“Isn’t that what we’re supposed to think after today? It was carefully orchestrated - there are always photographers at these polo matches," responded Larcombe.

He concluded, "And they all looked very happy today, so it’s against the backdrop of the rift of course.”

Meghan and Kate's midweek outing comes just days after baby Archie's christening on July 6th. The private event was attended by only 25 people at Windsor Castle, including Archie's aunt and uncle, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

A body language expert examined one of the two photos released from the event and noticed some alarming signs about an "awkward" Prince William and Duchess Kate.
