Servings: Makes 2 cocktails
4 ounces bourbon
2 ounce lemon juice
2 ounce simple syrup (50/50 sugar water)
2 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
1-2 Ounces red wine or dessert wine
lemon, for garnish
Combine all the ingredients except the wine in a cocktail shaker over ice and shake until ice cold.
Serve on the rocks in an old-fashioned glass
Over the back of a spoon, gently pour the wine into the cocktail so that it creates the two-tone, layering effect.
Garnish with a lemon peel.
