Toast to your dad with a sweet and sour cocktail this Father's Day

Servings: Makes 2 cocktails


  • 4 ounces bourbon

  • 2 ounce lemon juice

  • 2 ounce simple syrup (50/50 sugar water)

  • 2 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters

  • 1-2 Ounces red wine or dessert wine

  • lemon, for garnish

  • ice cubes


  1. Combine all the ingredients except the wine in a cocktail shaker over ice and shake until ice cold.

  2. Serve on the rocks in an old-fashioned glass

  3. Over the back of a spoon, gently pour the wine into the cocktail so that it creates the two-tone, layering effect.

  4. Garnish with a lemon peel.
