Melania Trump compared to Jackie Kennedy as she departs Ireland in headscarf

The Trumps have ended their whirlwind and royal-packed five-day state visit to Europe.

After spending time with the Queen of England and Prime Minister Theresa May, golfing in Ireland and commemorating the 75th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, the president has officially boarded Air Force One to return to Washington, D.C. And given the trip's political purpose, it was, of course, a sartorial show in of itself -- including the Trumps' airport style.

The couple's departure on Friday proved that no one does plane wear quite like Melania Trump. The first lady took the tarmac at Shannon Airport in a Burberry trench coat, Louboutin heels and her iconic sunglasses --however, it was her Hermes headscarf that's drawing quite the reaction from Twitter.

Many were quick to address just how much the first lady resembles another FLOTUS known for her signature fashion, Jackie Kennedy. "This looks reminds me of a previous First Lady and fashion icon, Jackie Kennedy," wrote one Twitter user, followed by the hashtag gorgeous.

Others were quick to say that the first lady instead took a page from Queen Elizabeth's style handbook: headscarves are one of Her Majesty's go-to accessories.

This isn't the first time Melania has been compared to the former first lady. Trump's powder blue inauguration suit by Ralph Lauren ignited the comparisons, which have occasionally continued throughout her tenure in the White House. Most recently, her fuchsia Louis Vuitton coat in South Korea drew more similarities from fans.
