This festival dedicated to avocados is returning to the US

There are people who love avocados and then there are people who love avocados so much they would go to a festival celebrating the creamy green fruit. Whether you fall into the last category or are just completely intrigued, you should know about the Avolution Festival.

The Avolution Festival, dedicated to all things avocado, will take place in San Diego, California on Saturday, June 8 from 4 pm to 10 pm. While the fest will, of course, have plenty of avocado-centric eats and cocktails, it will also feature totally Instagrammable art instillations by Peaseful, popular San Diego food trucks and music by Lost Kings, St. Lucia and Tim Legend.

The avocado fest is being put on by Chosen Foods, a brand that makes cooking oils and sprays, salad dressings and mayo using avocados. The fest made its inaugural debut last year and quickly sold out. This year, they're expecting to bring in over 2,000 avo-enthusiasts, but as of now, tickets are still available for $30.
