The 2019 Met Gala took over Manhattan on Monday evening -- and just like in the years prior, the red carpet did not disappoint. With a theme like "Camp," how could it?!

The annual "Oscars of Fashion" is a wild sartorial spectacle in its own right. Every year on the first Monday in May, the most famous faces in Hollywood take the red carpet in the most outlandish looks that we've ever seen.

Whether they're opting for 10-foot trains, a battery operated dress or full-on performance art with background dancers, models, actors and singers are all competing against each other for their time to shine.

And in Met Gala words, that means the weirder, the better.

This year, we saw Jared Leto carry a statue of his own head, Ezra Miller show up with seven eyes, Janelle Monae take the red carpet in a blinking bra, Cara Delevigne dressed as a rainbow ring leader, Lady Gaga impress in four different outfits, and Billy Porter take over with his gold wings.

And yeah, that's just the beginning.
