Met Gala 2019: Constance Wu wears Marchesa for Georgina Chapman's red carpet return

Marchesa is having a revival moment!

Constance Wu and Georgina Chapman arrived to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the 2019 Met Gala looking more glamorous than ever.The Marchesa designer accompanied the "Crazy Rich Asians" star to the biggest night in fashion wearing complementing dove grey sheer Marchesa gowns.

Wu's custom dress was draped in trompe l'oeil pearls and crystals, while Chapman's tiered gown stunned on the carpet. Although the duo wasn't totally on the "Campy" theme, they actress and designer brought class and glamour to the pink carpet.

Monday night's Met Gala marks Chapman's first red carpet appearance since the whirlwind scandal of her ex-husband, Harvey Weinstein. The couple split after 10 years of marriage back in October 2017 after Weinstein was publicly accused of decades of alleged sexual harassment.

Marchesa has been a go-to red carpet designer for years until stars silently backed away from wearing the American fashion house. Scarlett Johansson was controversially the first A-lister to wear Marchesa since the scandal at the 2018 the Met Gala.
