Twitter goes wild over Melania Trump's birthday post from the White House, turns photo into a meme
Melania Trump is celebrating her 49th birthday on Friday with a dinner at the White House with Japan's first couple.
And although her husband has yet to tweet about his wife's birthday, the White House's official Twitter account marked the occasion with a photo and a message for the mom-of-one. The photo, which was taken during a meeting with the Czech Republic's prime minister Andrej Babiš, shows the first lady sitting on a couch in the Oval Office surrounded by press.
Happy Birthday, @FLOTUS! pic.twitter.com/qwUwcod5LC

"Happy Birthday, @FLOTUS!" the caption reads.
While some were quick to respond to the photo with their own well wishes for Trump, others saw it as an opportunity for a meme. One photoshopped picture shows her sitting alongside Putin, while another photoshopped the president, clad in a tank top and pizza in hand, beside her.
Some critics wondered why the White House didn't choose another photo of her during one of her initiatives.
You can see some of Twitter's reactions to the photo below.

This is a really lame picture. Why not wish her a happy birthday with a picture of her doing something?

What a lovely image of Melania with her faithful companion, an empty couch cushion.

At least this is a photo of the real Melania, not her stunt double.
