Meghan Markle said this is the one children’s book she can’t wait to share with her kids

Nope, it's not Goodnight, Moon. Although, we hope that's a strong contender for Baby Sussex's library.

Back in 2016 (in a video shared by Instagram fan account @duchessofsussex_meghan), Meghan Markle, who is nearly nine-months pregnant with her and Prince Harry's first child (and due to give birth any day...not like we're waiting on pins and needles or anything), was asked what is the one children's book she can't wait to share with her kids.

Her answer? The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. And it should come as no surprise, since the former Suits star has been a passionate humanitarian even before joining the royal family. The book, a 1964 classic about a boy and a tree, is an allegory about giving, taking, life, loss and unconditional love.

The Duchess of Sussex was also asked what the title of a book about her own life would be...and she was so ready for the question. Without hesitation, a 34-year-old Markle answers The Glorious Adventures of Freckle-Faced Meg. (Wow, that's so much better than anything we could've come up with.)

Markle, who always lets her gorgeous freckles shine through whatever makeup she's wearing, has said previously that she treasures her freckly skin. In an interview, she was quoted as saying her dad told her when she was a child: "A face without freckles is a night without stars."

A month after this interview, Markle opened up on her now-defunct website The Tig about five books she says have "fed [her] soul throughout the years." The books on the duchess's reading list were The Motivation Manifesto by Brendon Burchard, The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (another that will most definitely be added to Baby Sussex's library), Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson and The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff.

Can someone please convince her to write The Glorious Adventures of Freckle-Faced Meg? Baby Sussex needs it. Prince Harry needs it. We need it.
