Body language expert analyzes Melania and Donald Trump's relationship at the 2019 White House Easter Egg Roll

It seems that there's tension brewing in the White House. And we're not just talking about reactions to the Mueller report.

Just a few weeks after spectators noticed a verbal disagreement between President Trump and Melania Trump over dinner at Mar-a-Lago, the Trumps' outing on Monday for the annual White House Easter Egg Roll has stirred relationship rumors once again.

According to body language expert Blanca Cobb, the first couple looked noticeably tense, even "fake" at times, during the White House's traditional festivities.

"You can have conflicting body language...you may not actually be happy, but you know that social protocol would require you to show some togetherness, and one way to do that relatively easily is by holding hands," Blanca explained to Cosmopolitan. She noted that even though the couple was photographed holding hands, their facial expressions send a different kind of message.

Another indication of trouble in paradise? Trump's expression during the Easter Egg Roll, which the expert called a "polite, social smile—aka a fake smile." And although the couple was turned towards each other during the competition, the distance between Trump and Melania is a worrisome sign for Blanca.

The president's arm reach "lets me know that there's some tension there. He's just keeping her at a distance."

"You fake it for the public because you don't want everyone to know your business," she concluded.
