Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are looking for an American nanny: Report

Updated

Meghan Markle is due to give birth to Baby Sussex any day now, with some even speculating she already has!

Not surprisingly, however, she is planning on carrying out motherhood a little differently than most royals. For one, the palace has already confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will skip the controversial photo op at the hospital and instead take photos at Windsor at presumably a later date. Duchess Meghan has also reportedly decorated the nursery in a neutral gray tone and plans to raise her baby vegan. But now, she's holding strong onto her American roots and is reportedly looking to hire an American nanny.

According to the Mirror, Meghan and Prince Harry have begun the search for a nanny using a recruitment agency, and not only are they looking for an American to help bring up their little one, but they're also open to hiring a male aide.

“Meghan and Harry have clear ideas on how to bring up their children. Meghan was clear in telling recruiters she favors an American over a Brit and wants them to feel part of the family rather than a uniformed member of staff," a source told the Mirror.

The royal nanny will allegedly be paid up to £70,000-a-year, depending on experience. In US dollars, that's roughly $91,200. They will also be based at Frogmore Cottage at Windsor and have use of a car.

Not a bad gig, if you don't consider the fact that this person will probably be in the public eye, have to deal with royal rumors and is responsible for the current most popular baby in the world. No big.

Back in January, it was previously reported by Vanity Fair that the couple wouldn't hire a nanny, at least not right away, and that they planned on getting help from Meghan's mother Doria Ragland. The current reports are now saying the American nanny will start within three months of the child's birth.
