Prince George's friends have given him the most adorable nickname

It's no secret that Kate Middleton and Prince William have strived to bring their children up as normal as possible, despite being royals.

The duchess has been "adamant" about raising George, Charlotte and Louis her own way by "keeping stuffy royal protocol far from their apartment at Kensington Palace." For the Cambridge family, that means mornings spent carpooling, afternoons spent bug hunting and family dinners.

Kate and Will also bucked tradition when choosing a school for Prince George, forgoing the elite and traditional "Eton-style feeder" many members of the royal family have attended in the past in favor of Thomas's Battersea in South London

The $23,000-a-year private school, located in an "aspirational area" of the city, was an unconventional choice for the family. George, who has yet to learn of his future as king, is exposed to various classes like art and ballet at his school, which emphasizes social responsibility and values such as kindness, courtesy and confidence.

"George is doing dancing as well, he loves it," revealed proud dad William in December.

Sources reveal that the 5-year-old prince is "very happy" at the institution and has even been given an adorable nickname by his peers: P. G.

"He's very popular and has a lot of friends, and there's very little fuss made about who he is," said a parent at the school according to Town and Country. Princess Charlotte, almost 4, is expected to join her older brother at Thomas's Battersea next fall, where she can continue her love of ballet.
