Bridal Week: Reem Acra showcases dazzling tuxedos, poppy pink and plenty of sparkle

The angels were smiling down on Reem Acra's show at Bridal Fashion Week.

The designer debuted "The Thankyou Collection" at the historic St. Bartholomew's Church in Manhattan as models showcased gowns, tuxedos and ornate headpieces inspired by cultures around the world. A religion-themed playlist eventually transitioned into a live performance from a gospel choir, who got the crowd on their feet with a rendition of "Like a Prayer."

Traditional-feeling gowns were followed by more daring designs, including glittering translucent pieces, tiered blush and pink numbers (with pink veils!), and a show-stopping white tux with shorts. Of the strapping male designs, real a tux with "TAKEN" emblazoned across the back was a real crowd-pleaser. Pink flower girl gowns were also a highlight.
