Berta redefines bridal wear with her Spring/Summer 2020 collection

Updated

Berta's Spring/Summer 2020 couture collection is redefining what means to be a bride.

Modern day weddings are no longer about finding the one fairytale dress. There's the rehearsal dinner, the reception, the after-party and an array of other white ensembles brides are seeking to slip into.

And while some dresses read more for the after-party, we are always here for a statement-making entrance. Extravagant trains, intricate embroidery by the likes of starbursts on sheer fabrics all contributed to the wanderlust of this dreamy collection. The impressive mix of handmade embellishments on complex fabrics proved why the Milan fashion house is a force.

Berta Balilti re-introduced silk into the collection to modernize elegance in the form of peplum and ball gowns -- although luxury fabrications and sexy silhouettes are the foundation of this collection. Plunging necklines, strapless silk, bodice corsets and thigh-high slits were all married with delicacy.

The best part? The finale look that commanded all the attention with its sparkly textile and voluminous skirt.

At first glance, Berta is not for the ordinary bride. The Berta girl is using her special day to take a style risk and saving all the drama for the aisle.
