See which celeb copied Meghan Markle on the 'Game of Thrones' red carpet

Plenty of people try to emulate Duchess Meghan's royal style. That's why most things she wears—dresses, coats, tops, everything—tend to sell out pretty quickly, with some even deeming it the "Meghan Markle effect." But recently, it seems a certain celebrity even copped the Duchess of Sussex's style on the red carpet.

While attending the "Game of Thrones'"Season 8 premiere on Wednesday, April 3rd in New York City, Amanda Peet donned a Carolina Herrera floral silk gown that featured a blue on blue print and flounced short sleeves. While the gown is stunning, it's also familiar.

Royal fans will notice that this is the same gown that Meghan Markle wore to meet with King Mohammed VI on the last day of her and Prince Harry's three-day tour in Morocco back in February. The duchess paired the look with her signature low bun, a white clutch and simple earrings. She also had the elastic at the waist removed to, we assume, make it more maternity-friendly.

The gown originally made its debut earlier this year on Carolina Herrera's Fall 2019 runway, a show that was inspired by Meghan Markle herself. In speaking about the collection, Creative Director Wes Gordon told The Telegraph, "It’s all designed for a bold, confident woman who doesn’t want to be a wallflower and loves beautiful things. I think that’s her."

The $2,990 gown is currently sold out.
