'Game of Thrones' OREO cookies are coming — brace yourselves
The mother of all snacks is arriving just in time for the final season of 'Game of Thrones', set to debut on HBO April 14.
OREO and HBO have announced the release of a limited edition, 'GoT'-inspired cookie, spotlighting the Great Houses still battling for the Iron Throne and their enemies beyond the wall.
The pack of sweet treats features classic OREO cookies bearing four different insignias, including a lion for the House Lannister, a dragon for the House Targaryen, a wolf for the House Stark and the Night King for the White Walkers. Where does your loyalty lie?
Fans of the show (and the cookies) can pledge themselves by tweeting or posting on Facebook with the hashtags #GameofCookies and #ForTheThrone for a chance to win special prizes throughout the season.
To celebrate the release of the limited-edition product, Oreo teamed up with HBO and Elastic, the company behind the show's iconic opening credits, to recreate the entire sequence using just cookies — a total of 2,750 OREOs, to be exact.
