A mom and her new bundle of joy are steadily recovering after quite the traumatic birth.
Joy Buckley, of Corning, upstate New York, has made headlines after delivering a 15-pound baby girl. The baby, later named Harper, measured 23 inches and is the largest baby Arnot Odgen Medical Center has ever seen. She may also be the biggest baby born in New York history, though the Buckleys are waiting on confirmation.
According to reports, Harper was born with a full head of hair and already weighs in at the size of a six month old.

Unsurprisingly, it was a rough birth for Joy, who already shares one biological son and one adopted daughter with her husband Norman.
“I felt like I was hit by two tractor-trailers,” Buckley told The Post. “It was pretty violent. She got stuck under my ribcage.” To deliver Harper, it took three doctors, a C-section and a "medical vacuum."
The couple told outlets that big births run in the family. Their son was born at 11 pounds by C-section, and the couple's families have seen babies born at a whopping 16 pounds.
Harper is expected to be released from the hospital soon. Until then, she's being monitored in the NICU and is on an oxygen machine.
Joked her mom, “She may end up with a linebacker build, just like me."
