Barbara Palvin announced as newest Victoria's Secret Angel

Congrats are in order for Barbara Palvin!

The 25-year-old Hungarian model is the latest to join Victoria's Secret's team of Angels, it was announced on Thursday morning. She joins a long list of supermodels who have had the exclusive opportunity to be called an Angel including Adriana Lima, Heidi Klum, Karlie Kloss and Gisele Bündchen.

Palvin has already garnered a long list of accomplishments for her work in the modeling world, having walked for powerhouses such as Prada, Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel and appearing in spreads for Vogue, Elle and Harper's Bazaar. She also has two Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows under her belt, most recently in 2018.

“When I was 13, I saw the VS Fashion Show and said, ‘One day I will get there.’ Three or four years later, I shot with Victoria’s Secret PINK for the first time,” Palvin said to People about the news. “Now, I feel like I was destined to do this. Victoria’s Secret caught me at the perfect time, because I’m finally happy with myself and my body.”

The news comes after Adriana Lima announced her retirement during last year's show after 18 years with the lingerie retailer.
