Internet goes wild over the "world's sexiest koala"

We didn't know there was even a category for this, but one koala from Australia's Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has just earned the title of "world's sexiest koala." Mazel Tov.

Rogue the koala has quickly become an internet sensation after British photographer Ross Long snapped a photo of the 5-year-old marsupial during a visit to the Queensland sanctuary. The photo, which shows the animal in quite a seductive position, has quickly gone viral.

"Draw me like one of your French girls, Jack," Long captioned the picture, which was taken on February 18. It's since become such a worldwide sensation that Instagram users are finding the original photo to post some thirsty captions.

"Tell me who's your Daddy," joked one Instagrammer. Wrote another, "Just saw your photo of this sexy guy on a morning show!!"

The animal sanctuary even took to their own social media to talk about all the fame that Rogue has received. "The dedicated team at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary are working hard to ensure that he remains humble and doesn’t lose his Aussie larakin charm!!" the organization joked.

At the same time, the sanctuary is using Rogue's fame as an opportunity to call attention to Koala Chlamydia, "a horrid disease that spreads rapidly" and is killing many of the species. In 2018 alone, the sanctuary had to treat nearly 80 percent of their koalas for the disease and is asking for donations to help fund the expensive treatments.
