If you thought Meghan Markle had a great year in 2018 — marrying a prince, becoming royal, traveling the world, etc. — 2019 is going to be even better. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first child together in April and a month later will mark the Duchess' first official year as a royal. 

Kicking off 2019 in early January, Duchess Meghan took on four patronages: Smart Works, Mayhew, The National Theatre and The Association of Commonwealth Universities. The latter two were personally passed on from the queen.

The Duchess of Sussex visited Smart Works, one of her four patronages announced in January 2019. 

She wore a black dress from the maternity brand Hatch, which she paired with an Oscar de la Renta trench coat and Gianvito Rossi pumps. She accessorized the look with matching tan gloves, a black clutch and Kimai earrings.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited Birkenhead in January. The duchess' look was said to pay homage to Princess Diana. 

She ditched her usually neutral ensembles for a purple Babaton by Aritzia dress, a bright red Sentaler coat, matching red heels and a brown leather bag by designer Gabriela Hearst

The Duchess of Sussex visited with the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) in London, another one of her patronages. 

She wore a stylish black Givenchy coat paired with a coordinating black top and pleated skirt. She finished her monochromatic look with nude heels and her hair in a high bun.

Duchess Meghan visited the Mayhew Animal Welfare Charity in January, her first visit as its patron. 

She wore a neutral monochromatic look with her signature blow out. Under a cashmere Armani coat, she wore a turtleneck maternity dress from H&M. She accessorized the look with the Stella McCartney Falabella Mini Reversible Shaggy Deer Tote Bag ($1145 at Neiman Marcus) and nude heels.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the Cirque du Soleil Premiere Of 'TOTEM' at Royal Albert Hall in January.

Duchess Meghan wore a glittering long-sleeved Roland Mouret gown with Stuart Weitzman sandals and Givenchy clutch, along with a gold bracelet that reportedly once belonged to Princess Diana.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan visited the Old Vic theater in Bristol. 

Meghan wore a black coat by William Vintage and a matching scarf paired with an olive green purse.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attend the Endeavour Fund Awards at Drapers Hall in February.

The Duchess wore a Givenchy ensemble consisting of a white button down and a black high-waisted skirt. She accessorized her look with a black clutch and Aquazzura pumps.

The Duchess of Sussex attended a gala performance of 'The Wider Earth' in support of the Queen's Commonwealth Trust & the Queen's Commonwealth Canopy at the Natural History Museum in February.

She wore a winter-white turtleneck dress by Calvin Klein with a chic coat by Amanda Wakeley. She paired the neutral ensemble with olive green pumps and a matching olive clutch, both by Ralph Lauren

Meghan Markle had dinner with friends (including Serena Williams) at The Polo Bar in NYC ahead of her lavish baby shower in February.

She wore a full-length black Victoria Beckham double-breast coat, dark skinny jeans and black Tamara Mellon boots.

Duchess Meghan was spotted in NYC ahead of her baby shower with friends visiting the Met Breuer museum in February. 

She wore a black vintage-cut coat with black skinny jeans, sunglasses by Le SpecsStuart Weitzman heels and a Carolina Herrera handbag

Meghan Markle was spotted outside of The Mark Hotel in NYC leaving for her flight back to the UK. 

The duchess wore comfy black leggings, a zip-up jacket and black sneakers under a classic camel coat for the long trip. She carried a black Cuyana bag and supposedly wore a Jennifer Meyer 18-carat gold necklace that read "Mommy." 

On her head, she wore a black baseball cap that read "rectify," which is the name of her friend and former "Suits" co-star, Abigail Spencer's, now-canceled Sundance Channel series. In fact, the hat may have been loaned to her by her pal as Spencer was spotted wearing it in NYC days prior.

On the first day of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's 3-day trip to Morocco, they were greeted by the British Ambassador to Morocco and his wife. 

Meghan got off the plane wearing a custom red Valentino cape dress accessorized with nude heels and a matching clutch.

On Meghan and Harry's second day of their trip to Morocco, the duke and duchess stopped by a local school to meet with students and teachers. The duchess even received a henna tattoo!

She wore a a navy blue Alice + Olivia blazer with a black sweater by Misha Nonoo (her good friend!), black pants and . Later day she swapped the black top for a Babaton for Aritzia white button down blouse and heels.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex later attended a reception hosted by the British Ambassador to Morocco on their second day in Morocco.

She wore a custom Dior cape dress with embellishments on the sleeves, gold heels and a matching metallic clutch.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped out on their third day in Morocco to visit the Moroccan Royal Federation of Equestrian Sports to learn more about the country's developing program to help children with special needs. 

Meghan dressed down for the outing in black skinny jeans, a striped knit, Stuart Weitzman booties and a green khaki utility jacket by J. Crew. Her hair was pulled back into a casual pony tail.

The couple continued their visit at the Andalusian Gardens where they heard about youth empowerment in Morocco from young social entrepreneurs.

For their last official event in Morroco, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan met with King Mohammed VI of Morocco at his residence.

Meghan opted for a stunning blue Carolina Herrara gown straight off the designer's Fall/Winter 2019 runway (the show was actually designed with her in mind!). She accessorized the look with a metallic clutch and her hair in her signature low bun.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a reception to mark the 50th Anniversary of the investiture of The Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace in March. 

Meghan Markle dazzled in a metallic brocade dress for the occasion, which she paired with a white Amanda Wakeley Crombie coat, which retails for $1,190 on the designer's website. She accessorized the look with suede Paul Andrew heels and a pink clutch from Wilbur & Gussie

The Duke of Sussex surprised the audience and pulled the duchess up on stage while giving a speech at the UK's WE Day event. 

Meghan wore a navy Ralph Lauren blazer, black sweater and Rag & Bone maternity jeans, similar to an outfit she wore in Morocco. She accessorized the look with her gold Jennifer Myer 'Mummy' necklace.

The Duchess of Sussex joined in a panel discussion, convened by The Queen's Commonwealth Trust, to mark International Women's Day at King's College London in March.

Duchess Meghan wore a black-and-white, floral-printed Reiss mini-dress and a black blazer by Alexander McQueen. She also carried a black Stella McCartney bag and wore matching Manolo Blahnik pumps.

The Duke and Duchess Of Sussex attend a Commonwealth Day Youth Event at Canada House in March.

The duchess, who is around eight months pregnant, looked stunning in a green coat with black beaded detailing on the cuffs and collar by Canadian designer Erdem. She paired the outerwear with a matching green dress and Aquazzura black heels.

Duchess Meghan wore Victoria Beckham head-to-toe in a white and black printed dress with white overcoat and green heels. She topped off the look with a white hat, per tradition.

During official visits to her patronages, outings with Prince Harry and trips overseas (including her lavish baby shower in NYC!), Meghan Markle's fashion hasn't disappointted.
