Meghan Markle and Prince Harry pet horses on their last day in Morocco

On the heels of her iconic baby shower in NYC, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry traveled to Morocco for an official three-day tour. On Monday, which marks their last day of the trip, the royal couple learned about the country's equine therapy program that supports children with special needs.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the Moroccan Royal Federation of Equestrian Sports in the morning and reportedly groomed and pet horses with some of the children, watched a riding demonstration and met with trainers.

According to Louis Broski, the founder of the Centre Social Kariat who set up the animal therapy program nearly 16 years ago, Harry spoke about his own experiences with horse riding.

“They were very gentle,” Broski told People. “Meghan was very gentle towards our children. And Harry was interested in what we are doing.”

Zachary Atali, a teacher and previous participant in the program also told People, “They were very nice. They were kind to us. They asked us lots of questions like how do you feel when you ride in the ponies. And we feel happy and very at ease.”

Meghan dressed down for the outing in black skinny jeans, a striped knit, Stuart Weitzman booties and a green khaki utility jacket by J. Crew. Her hair was pulled back into a casual pony tail.

Monday's agenda also included visiting a cooking school for underprivileged children, touring Rabat's Andalusian Gardens and meeting with King Mohammed VI.
