The top 10 trending places to travel to this spring
You probably won't see as many people posting travel pics from traditional spring break vacations in Cancun and Miami this year. According to Airbnb, more and more travelers are opting for cultural experiences, secluded beaches and road trips in 2019.

San Juan and Carolina, Puerto Rico have both seen an influx of travelers who are not only looking to help rebuild the communities post-Hurricane Maria, but experience the cities' cultures. Visiting San Juan will give you access to its rich historical city center, colorful architecture, lush rainforest and beautiful beaches. (Plus, if you live in the US, no passport is required!)
Americans are also getting in their cars and taking Route 66 through Williams, Arizona. If you're not familiar, this northern city is known as the gateway to the Grand Canyon. And driving along the route will expose you to Americana-style shops and historic restaurants, not to mention the famous Route 66 Zipline.
Outside of the US, travelers are celebrating Carnival in Cologne, Germany, which plays host to one of the largest street festivals for the occasion. And for tropical-seekers, places like Guadalupe and Brazil are seeing an increase in tourists.
