You have to see Ashley Graham close the Christian Siriano runway show at NYFW

The theme at Christian Siriano's Fall 2019 ready-to-wear runway show was futuristic glam, with the future including confident socialites looking to make a statement.

“The idea was, if we’re living in another futuristic world, what would the social calendar be like?” Christian Siriano told Vogue backstage. “How would people dress and where would they go?"

But first, to set the scene, the show was presented at the Top of the Rock at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, giving the audience 360-degree views of New York City and natural lighting. While the location, in theory, is exciting and dramatic, getting a whole slew of fashion editors, bloggers and celebrity fashionistas up a few elevators amongst tourists — and keeping them in good spirits — was easier said than done. Siriano reportedly apologized profusely at the end of the show while taking his bow and during interviews.

Nonetheless, when Chanel Iman kicked things off in a knee-length silver faux fur coat, "Orange Is The New Black" star Danielle Brooks let out, "Ooh there she is!" The rest of the front row included celebrities like Debra Messing, Mariska Hargitay, Kelly Giddish, Tess Holiday, Coco Rocha, Christina Hendricks, Christina Ricci and Billy Porter.

On the runway, models of different shapes and sizes walked in a little bit of everything: metallic dresses, printed pantsuits, embellished jumpsuits, black gowns with thigh-high slits and large ruffled gowns. More than several looks could easily make their way on to the red carpet.

Their hair was adorned with silver chains which were either pulled back into sleek ponytails or flowing freely through tousled bobs by TRESemmé. And crystals were scattered across their faces, like sparkling freckles.

The stand out moment — what made it worth waiting in and hour-long line to go up 50-something floors — was seeing supermodel Ashley Graham close the show in a sheer silver gown adorned with hundreds of crystals, complete with a matching cap.
