NYFW: Jeremy Scott takes street style grunge to a whole new level

Jeremy Scott isn't messing around when it comes to street style.

The designer behind Moschino and his eponymous brand debuted his Fall/Winter 2019 collection Friday night at New York Fashion Week -- and proved he's still a force to be reckoned with as one of the industry's "biggest rebels."

Always shaking things up, Scott surprised the audience by ditching colors for his latest line, instead opting for a collection made purely of black and white. Drawing inspiration from newspapers and tabloid headlines, models walked the runway with their chests plastered boldly with words such as "Panic!" and "Danger!" and "Killer!".

“I was thinking about society’s complete obsession with scandalous headlines with salacious news, with false assumptions, with clickbait," said Scott to AP News. "And this kind of obsession we have as a people where we get so riled up and people don’t really even listen or investigate.”

But the designer did stay true to his creative roots with the use of leather and tulle, playing around with rips and crop tops and sequins. Models donned equally as edgy eyeliner and hairstyles, proving that street style grunge is in full force.
