Pringles wine tumblers are inspired by woman banned from Walmart

Last month, news broke that a woman who was drinking wine out of a Pringles can and riding around a Texas Walmart parking lot in an electric shopping cart had been banned from the store.

According to the Times New Record, officer Jeff Hughes of the Wichita Falls Police Department said they responded to reports of a "suspicious person." The woman had been drinking alcohol and riding the motorized cart (a cart for those with limited mobility) for about three hours before police were alerted. The woman was not arrested and no charges were pressed, but police found her at a nearby restaurant to let her know at the store's request that she had been banned from Walmart.

The hilarious story quickly went viral and now, you can buy a Pringle's wine tumbler on Etsy.

"I thought the Walmart story was hilarious and was inspired to spoof it on a cup," Celeste Powers, founder of TheCupArtistEtsy, recently told MyRecipes.

Unfortunately, the sweat and leak-proof prototype Powers posted to Instagram last week for only $29.99 have already sold out. But others on Instagram were quick to follow suit and come up with their own versions.
