Bebe Rexha receives Grammy's dress offers after she said designers refused because of her size
It seems like the fashion industry is a few steps behind in the whole body positivity movement. And Bebe Rexha, Grammy-nominated for Best New Artist and Best Country Duo/Group Performance, is the latest artist to call designers out.
In a video Bebe posted to Instagram on January 21, she explained that for awards shows, many designers will make something custom for artists to walk the red carpet. Sadly, or more so infuriatingly, however, she's had a hard time finding a designer to dress her because she's a size 8.

"So I had my team hit out a lot of designers and a lot of them do not want to dress me because I’m too big," she said. "Literally, like I’m too big. And if a size 6-8 is too big, then I don’t know what to tell you. I don’t wanna wear your f*cking dresses."
While she doesn't mention any designers by name, she calls on the fashion industry to "empower women to love their bodies instead of making girls and women feel less then by their size" in her caption. "We are beautiful any size! Small or large!"
Since posting, the "Meant to Be" singer has received tons of support in the post's comments by fans, celebs and yes, fashion designers. In fact, several designers are now coming forward with offers to dress the pop star.
“You are beautiful! Every woman of every size is beautiful! Just let me know when I should start sketching," designer August Getty commented.
“Bebe — we would LOVE to design something custom for you!! Can we discuss?? Xx," designer Tanya Taylor wrote in the comments.
Stella Nolasco also wrote, “I would love to dress you!”
Many fans also began tagging Christian Siriano, who has been known to make dresses of for all body types, ages and skin tones.
So, now that it seems Bebe has a few options, we wonder who she'll pick! Check out some of Bebe Rexha's past red carpet looks in the gallery above!
