Prince George, Princess Charlotte steal the show at the queen's Christmas lunch

Christmas has officially started at Buckingham Palace!

Members of the royal family, including Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan as well as Prince William and Duchess Kate, spent the afternoon at Queen Elizabeth's London residence to kick off the holiday season. The annual luncheon is thrown by the queen for her family, and includes extended members of the family as well.

Also joining in the festivities were Prince George, 5, and Princess Charlotte, 3, who were pictured arriving alongside their parents and royal nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, to their great grandmother's. Their younger brother, 7-month-old Prince Louis, was not spotted.

Although there were only a few photos of little Charlotte, we were treated to a handful of shots of Prince George, who looked all grown up in a checkered button-down. The young prince seemingly also debuted a brand new perfectly coiffed hairstyle. Is that gel, George?!

Other attendees at the queen's residence included Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and his family, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of York, Princess Beatrice and Zara Tindall and her children.

The queen will soon travel to her Sandringham estate in Norfolk for the rest of the celebratory season.
